Utility work is expected to begin late next summer on the project, followed by above-ground work by the end of , with a goal of completing the project by the end of or early , said Downtown Columbus Amy Taylor.

Taylor and Love said they do not have an estimated cost yet for the first phase of the project, along Gay Street.
